The Best

I have used various Arcteryx jackets over the years, my last being the Beta LT. Great jacket but fails miserably in heavy and consistent rain. I’ve also found it quite restrictive when layering up on cold ski touring days.
Ive bought several pieces from Jottnar including the superb Asger mid layer which is my go to jacket.
I have to admit being swayed by a recent Jottnar sale price in my purchase of the Hodr jacket. However, compared to anything I’ve ever had this is truly superb and if I’d known how good I could have saved a fortune on not buying a recent ski jacket.
I’ve had several wet days scrambling in the Lake District and it’s held up without issue. What I really like are the details such as multiple pockets and also the tightening system that allows micro adjustment on hood and shoulder position.
Overall it just oozes quality. I hope more people support Jottnar, it’s a fantastic brand that deserves recognition for caring about the details and not just the bottom line.

Excellent kit

My first Jöttnar hardshell - fantastic jacket. Extremely well designed and made. Having many Goretex & Pertex jackets, over many years, and in all sorts of weather conditions - this jacket is the best I've had. Keeps out the wind and rain, and there seems to be significantly less internal sweat / moisture build up (especially compared to my Goretex kit).

Best Hardshell I’ve ever had.

The Hodr is the latest piece of my ever growing Jottnar gear, and like all the other pieces it is superb in every way, and simply the best hardshell jacket I’ve ever used. Combined with their Vanir pants, it is the perfect suit of armour.

Good fitting Jacket

Ive used many jackets over the years and thought id try this. So far good in the rain, and very comfortable, with a good fit.
The only reason it got 4stars is the chest pockets are to deep, any small items like phones are going to be a pain to get out.

New jacket

An excellent addition to my winter clothing, the only thing that I would change is the hook to hang the jacket, I would like it to be on the outside, just under the hood
