Bombproof pants

Bought these after good experience with Vanir LT salopettes in the old Neoshell. Skjolder felt different. At first use they were lightweight, comfortable and thoroughly waterproof on day of wet snow skiing. Looking forward to climbing in them.

Top notch

These are excellent. Just like my review of the Odin. Fit is correct. Not small, not large. Love the full zip sides.

Fabric is the right Denier. But not too heavy at all. Love the way it feels in the hand. Breathable, waterproof hard shell protection. Comparable to Pro Shell imo. Time will tell the tale, but for now...it seems like top kit. Was bullet proof skiing in them at the end of this season.

I’m 5’10” 185lbs. Large is perfect for layers.

Lightweight, durable

These are exceptionally lightweight pants but make no mistake, they will hold up to anything. I just put them through a week of skiing and I loved everything about them. Snow, wind and cold and varying conditions were no match for these pants. I ended up removing the suspenders but those are a nice addition if needed. The integrated belt was enough to keep the pants where I wanted them. The powder skirts around the ankles are simple and work well. You can't go wrong with the Vanir!

An exceptional salopette

This is a must-have for any serious mountain lover.
So much better produced and tailored than many of the house-hold generic brands.
You can feel how much thought has gone into the design process to provide such a sturdy, light, flowing and waterproof shell trouser.
Well worth every penny once you hit the slopes with them.
Like other Jottnar products, they are a class apart.
You can tell why some many instructors and guides now turn to them...

Maximum freedom of movement

When selecting kit for myself and our instructors and guides, there are 4 things that are essential. Clothing needs to be robust, waterproof, breathable and allow the freedom of movement that skiers and climbers desire to get maximum enjoyment from their sport. The Vanir Pant ticks all these boxes.
