Men's Lightweight Down Jacket

A HYDROPHOBIC GOOSE DOWN JACKET FOR COLD CONDITIONS

NEW & REVISED

The new and revised Thorsen is a hoodless, collared version of the Fenrir. A richly featured and highly technical down jacket, Thorsen is designed for further weight saving and for those who prefer no hood. Stuffed with 850 Fill Power goose down, in a premium 93/7 down/feather ratio for an excellent warmth to weight ratio. Our water-repellent down from DownTek™ stays dry 10x longer than untreated down. Unlike inferior versions, our water repellency won’t wash out and is free of harmful fluorocarbons. Our ethical approach to down sourcing complies with the Responsible Down Standard.

A water repellent micro rip-stop face fabric resists moisture, and potential wet-out zones at the cuffs, collar and underarm contain synthetic insulation. The Thorsen also features stretch technical cuffs, an internal valuables pocket, snag-free hem adjusters and is supplied with its own stuff sack for easy carriage.

Your gear is amazing.

I originally got turned onto Jottnar while looking for an expedition level jacket. I live and work in an extremely remote area of Alaska as the sole medical provider for a bush village of about 1000 natives. We regularly get winter storms w/ 50-60 mph sustained winds 100mph gust and zero visibility. If it's not snowing our temps are usually subzero on a nice day. I bought a Fjorm and have used it for the last two years it is absolutely bomb proof, amazing fit and I have not been even close to cold in it. With that being said I knew I would eventually purchase more gear from these guys. I needed a warmer layer that I could put under a shell so I purchased the Thorsen. I've only had it for a few weeks, but it's got the same killer quality and fit as my other jacket it's supper warm and perfect under a shell. I'm 5'10 160 lbs and the small is perfect for me. My wife and I do a lot of backpacking, skiing mtb and have owned pretty much pieces of gear from every brand and by far the quality, fit and function of the Jottnar equipment is far and above the rest. We will definitely be regular customers. Cheers 5 out of 5 stars.

Best jacket of this type I’ve had

I’ve had a few of this type of jacket (4 or 5) over the years from different brands. This is by far the best in terms of its density and warmth. Jöttnar have definitely done their homework and nailed the attention to detail when designing this jacket.

Not put to the test yet

This will be my 3rd Jottnar purchase but as yet I've yet to wear it anywhere harsher than the school walk. Still, I look 'Aly as' when I'm at the gates.
