Modi is a lightweight waterproof trouser built for the fast and light mountain days. Named for the Old Norse god of courage and wrath, it channels resilience, precision, and protection into one streamlined layer.
At just 266g, this packable protection is cut from 2.5-layer SKJOLDR™ — our proprietary windproof, waterproof, and highly breathable fabric, engineered for durability and storm-proof performance. Fully taped seams throughout, a DWR finish, and glove-compatible AquaGuard® ankle vent zips and fly zipper with double-snap closure reinforce its focused feature set.
A raised back panel keeps coverage when bending or moving. Articulated knees allow big reaches and high steps. While a diamond gusseted crotch reduces stress on the seams, prevents chafing, and allows for a greater range of motion. Reinforced Kevlar™ instep patches shrug off crampon nicks and rocky abrasion. Zipped hem vents and adjustable drawcords adapt to fit over hiking boots or approach shoes. An integrated adjustable belt on a part-elasticated waist sits comfortably beneath a harness, pack, or over a baselayer.
