Men's Hooded Down Jacket

A HYDROPHOBIC HOODED GOOSE DOWN JACKET FOR COLD CONDITIONS

NEW

Updated for Autumn 21. Designed for warmth and weight saving without compromising on features. The Fenrir hooded down jacket is stuffed with ultra-warm 850 Fill Power goose down, in a premium 93/7 down/feather ratio. Our water-repellent down from DownTek™ stays dry 10x longer than untreated down. Unlike inferior versions, our water repellency won’t wash out and is free from harmful fluorocarbons. Our ethical approach to down sourcing complies with the Responsible Down Standard.

A water repellent rip-stop face fabric resists the wet, and potential moisture zones at the cuffs, hem, collar and underarms contain synthetic insulation. The Fenrir also features a cinch hood with elasticated binding, stretch technical cuffs, and is supplied with its own stuff sack for easy carriage.

Revisions include improved pocket placement and re-mapped synthetic panelling.

Very happy

I've had a few Jottnar products and they have always been fantastic quality and very practical so I was expecting the same from the Fenrir down jacket and was not disappointed. I've had owned down jackets from North Face, Arcteryx, Montane and Rab and I can easily say that this is the best, great attention to detail and fit, nice length and very warm. The fact that we run an axe and knife throwing centre and one of our ranges is called Fenrir is just a happy coincidence.

Haven't used in "anger" yet as it's not cold enough but it does feel warm when I've sat out in the garden in it of an evening. It is extraordinarily light and could easily be rolled up and packed in a rucksack. I've got a few bits of Jöttnar kit and they all seem very well made. It's expensive but I guess you need to pay for quality. Bit disappointed to find it made in China though.

I bought my first Fenrir in 2014 and has served me brilliantly (I have only updated because the zip's bottom stop eventually gave out after pretty much daily use for 6 months of the year). Fenrir # 2 is just as fantastic - warm yet cool, quiet and oh so comfortable. Seemingly roomier than its predecessor (which was slightly tighter to the body) it is still an athletic cut. Great as a warm but light outer layer, or pairs well with a Hjalmar when it lashes it down. The new inner pocket is an added bonus and the cuffs feel much nicer than before. A true workhorse of a jacket! Beautiful stuff, Jöttnar!!
