ULTRA-LIGHT, BREATHABLE MID LAYER
A breathable, ultra-lightweight hybrid hoody built for constant momentum in changeable conditions. The wind and shower-resistant Nylon body is blended with highly breathable sleeves, side panels and lower back to balance protection and breathability in high output activities. Boost ventilation on the uphills with the chest half-zip and deploy the hood and thumb loops when the temperature drops. Wear out over a lightweight base layer or stash it into its own chest pocket. The Polygiene® anti-microbial finish helps you feel fresher on longer adventures. Updates include a subtle concealed chest pocket, improved hood fit and new colours.

Liked my first so much (still going strong) I purchased another from the outlet in a different colour. See my previous review of 18/12/21. My only suggested improvements would be to: (1) add a double ended zip to the central opening to increase the venting options and (2) Add a slightly elasticated ‘locker loop’ on the outside through which you can tuck the hood if you want it out of the way.
I received this Jottnar item a couple of weeks ago and due to the weather, have only used a couple of times. I’m 6’4” and about 89 kgs. The Large is perfect for me. A really nice fit and the quality as always is superb. It’s really lightweight and will pack away virtually unnoticed in your backpack / hold-all. Another item to add to my Jottnar connection which will undoubtedly come out for faster moving activities.
Versatile, technical, beautifully designed and made, but above all comfortable and effective in 25-30 degree heat with a Mar T-shirt beneath in the mountains. This is a 'go to' addition to my kit list. Super comfortable under a 12-15kg rucksack at altitude. Wear with Asger, Asta or Floyen on top if gets colder in the evening.
Have used this for running in winter in wind and rain and while it’s not waterproof beyond light showers it offers good wind protection and extra warmth. I’ve also used it for a week ski touring hut to hut and it layers great over a base and under mid layers and keeps the wind out so you don’t need a shell in lighter conditions. Fits really well
Like most guys; I run hot... I have a whole selection of midlayers and light jackets that I can't really use if it isnt actually 'baltic' :)
This however is prefect over a T-shirt to add just the right level of wind stopping warmth needed for UK summer or clambering round the Meddy (coastal adventures)...
Helmet compatible hood is a nice addition and I love the different more breathable fabric on the arms!
