Men's Severe Weather Insulated Jacket

Our warmest synthetic layer, built for stillness in the storm.

With a Pertex® Quantum ripstop shell and layered synthetic insulation, Ravn balances warmth, protection, and utility. The outer is 100% recycled OceanCycle fabric with a PFC-free DWR finish. Containing 160gsm core insulation, with 100gsm mapped to the sleeves and hood.

An extended cut, glove-compatible adjusters, wind-blocking baffles, and a press studded hem. Two insulated hand pockets, two zipped chest pockets, and large twin internal dump pockets for essential storage.

Technical stretch cuffs seal comfortably over gloves. A two-way YKK® moulded front zip with insulated rear baffle minimises heat loss. Anti-snag hem adjusters keep things simple.

Resilient, reliable, and honed for winter’s sharpest moments. This is a trusted layer for brutal conditions.

Mixed feelings about this jacket! It is very lightweight. However, it was used in a number of different situations and it kept me warm. Temp ranges were -8/-24 degrees and at no point did I feel cold. I only wore a merino wool baselayer and used a medium weight mixed material fleece underneath. This jacket was used in freezing Fjords on boats with windchill, standing around on a train platforms in very cold conditions, Husky sledding in the wilds for 2hrs and running around the mountains for several hrs. It performed well! The pockets are excellent and will swallow just about all your possessions. The jacket fits well, I am 5ft 8 and stocky build with 45 inch chest and the large is plenty big enough for me. The hood wraps round quite nicely but has a weird cut at the front which is a little uncomfortable for me. Maybe more playing around with it will solve the annoyance. The front zip appears to be robust but doesn't always engage that easily so you have to line it up very precisely. The stitching looks good for a modern jacket. For me the outer material seems very soft and to an extent thin. ( This is explained in the blurb on the website) We will see about it's durability as we go. So far, so Good!
