Men's All-Mountain Goose Down Jacket (Past Season)

MEN'S HOODED GOOSE DOWN JACKET

A deep-baffled jacket with 750 Fill Power hydrophobic goose down, extended into the hood for full-coverage, daily warmth.

Premium 90/10 down/feather ratio. DownTek™ hydrophobic goose down stays dry 10x longer and dries 3x quicker than standard down, minimising degradation in wet conditions.

Recycled OceanCycle Pertex® Quantum - a tough 50D micro ripstop, 100% recycled fabric with a PFC-free DWR finish. Light, windproof, and water-resistant.

Stretch cuffs, anti-snag hem adjusters, and a rear-cinched hood. Insulated hand warmer pockets, an external chest pocket, and a zipped internal valuables pocket. An included stuff sack packs it small.

Our ethical approach complies with the Responsible Down Standard. Our hydrophobic down uses bluesign®-approved clean chemistry.

Reviews displayed include the earlier editions of the Thorne. We’ve kept them here to showcase the Thorne legacy while introducing the new 2025 version; further refined and improved.

Great construction and warmth

Both lightweight and packable, and also very warm. Has been tested in Scottish winter so far and holding up very well for both technical and everyday wearing. Great colour too

Deserves more than a 5 star review

I’ve already reviewed my Thorne,a few reviews down, received an email today about Jottnar Down, so Ive came back to update my previous review and ask the guys at Jottner about down pants, I’m just home from 10 days in the cairngorms again, each day on the summits of Cairn Toul, the Devils Point, Ben Macdui etc,, some of the severest conditions I’ve encountered in the Uk, -12 degrees and lower in blizzard conditions, again the Thorne performance was exceptional, a base layer, my Thorne and lhotse hard shell and I was quite comfortable in some serious conditions,,, to the Jottner Team, have yous ever thought of Jottner Down Pants, the same quality as your jackets ? For the conditions I mentioned above it’s the only thing missing from my kit bag

Hesitant !! Don’t be go for it ..

I was hesitant to but the Thorne jacket but !! It’s better than I expected.. you can tell these guys have put the hours in figuring out what materials to use, Everything feels quality .. I had two jackets in mind this one and one other brand beginning with R@& I’m pleased I went with this one my friend has the other one and this brand feels better quality no doubts about it. Will definitely be back to buy more Jottnar products .

Thorne In -3 for two weeks

i already owned a Thorsen which to all intents and purposes is a hoodless Thorne , but decided i wanted the hooded version. Great warmth and very happy with the jacket - one minor niggle was that a bottom hem adjuster came loose. Jottnar offered to fix it but in truth with the weather of late i was happy to put up with it, and keep the jacket which based on its been -3, more often than not in the last couple of weeks. was fine by me. Just had a single base layer on underneath and more than snug.

Review from an ancient Northman.

Just bought my first Jöttnar jacket, Thorne, and I couldn't be happier. Fits perfectly, looks and feels quality and most importantly keeps me very warm, unlike my previous favourite brand I don't have to wear a mid - layer or wear a neck tube as it zips up snuggly to my chin. I also love the back story of the brand creators and the Norse references.
I've previously been a big fan of a rival brand from Sheffield and own various editions of all four layers but will now be switching to your brand and look forward to doing the same with you.
I'm not a soldier, an athlete or a mountaineer I'm a man in his 60's who walks every day in the Yorkshire countryside and will do so from now on wearing Jöttnar.
