Men's High Output Hybrid Hoody

ULTRA-LIGHT, BREATHABLE MID LAYER

NEW

Svend is a packable, breathable and ultra-lightweight hoody, built for high output action in changeable conditions. The torso section features wind and shower-resistant micro-ripstop nylon panelling, while the sleeves, side panels, lower back and hood are made from highly breathable fabric with a Polygiene® anti-microbial finish. The lightweight hood gives protection in blustery conditions and the chest half-zip allows for quick ventilation when required. In cooler conditions, the thumb loops can be deployed for additional wrist and hand warmth. It packs down small into its own chest pocket for convenient storage. Designed to be worn over a lightweight base layer.

Quality

I've been out in this item a few time now, description bang on, very light, comfortable moving over ground, nice fit and very well made. Idea addition to my Jottnar range. 10/10

Flexible top. Huge comfort range.

After a month of use hiking most days, this has become the first top to go in the bag. Main thing I like is the large range of conditions this feels comfortable in. The torso protection is really impressive, even in biting winds (though the lower arms can get pretty cold if you only have a light t-shirt underneath so I pair with some arm sleeves when it really bites). The real kicker for me is how well it vents and protects when the temp and/or effort picks up. This means far less changing than traditional mid-layers I own. A lighter colour might even make for a nice sun top for protection on the glacier (hint, hint ;)). Provided the materials wear well, happy with the investment.

Lightweight Technical Hoody

I am a Jottnar fan and have got the base layers and mid layers in my collection. The Svend hoody is a quality piece of gear and I would use this as a summer mid layer, over a technical t-shirt - useful for a summer shower having a water repellent upper.
The hoody packs down really small into its own chest pocket and you wouldn’t know it was in your pack, it being so lightweight.
At £140 I feel the garment is a tad overpriced but in fairness you really can’t knock the quality and I guess that is ultimately what you pay for.
