Excellent quality

This shell is excellent quality. I am no mountaineer, but bought this jacket for the best protection in a variety of conditions. I also wanted something unique that you don't see a lot of people wearing (at least in the US). I recently tested it out on a winter trip to Finland and it was flawless. The construction is superb and I definitely felt well-protected. I am confident the jacket will last for years. The only issue I have (at no fault of Jottnar) is the sizing. I am 5'10" and 180lbs. I bought the medium and large to compare the sizes. The medium is perfect for me as a shell over a base layer or used as a stand alone shell/rain jacket. When I wore it over a light puffer down down jacket that I use as a mid-layer, it was a bit snug. This didn't keep me from comfortably using it while skiing, snowmobiling or touring around in poor conditions, but I do wish there was a bit more room in the torso. The large size was way too big in both the torso and sleeve length. Sleeve length on the medium was perfect. I love the amount of pockets/storage and the adjustable hood design is the best. If you are looking for an extremely high quality shell, I 100% recommend this product.

Wow, I knew when I first put it on!
From the design and how it fits to its ability to load carry, with all the pockets both in and out, the cuffs are just how you need them, flexible during removal but snug when the snow is trying to get in! The hood space is sensational, wearing a helmet, this hood allows total freedom of movement whilst maintaining total protection from the elements, the toggles or draw straps work very well, finally a solution to an age old issue, Top jacket inspired from lads who know

Mountaineering excellence

New purchase which has not disappointed, I intend to save up and buy the hard shell pants next year, the quality, fit and functionality outweighs any I have ever owned.
