Packs small, light

Got mine in April 19.
Extremely light and thin material, so packs small and can be chucked in the bag just in case.
No pockets which is fine as I don't use it for that. It is designed to be a running top after all.

It is thin material as stated, so doesn't keep the rain off for long, but then again, it is a windtop.
I wouldn't wear a backpack with it though like the advertisement as it will wear a hole in it quick enough I reckon.

For walks/requiring a pack, I've ended up getting a windstopper from buffalo. Big pocket and keeps the wind and rain off. No hood though unless you buy seperately.

I've been slowly increasing my selection of Jottnar outdoor gear in anticipation of a late September trip to Kintail, Scotland. But due to C19 mitigation measures this yearly pilgrimage from the lowlands of Norfolk & Suffolk has had to wait.
This means that I am unable to fully test out the waterproofing, breathability and durability of the Jottnar outdoor gear.
I have enjoyed the purchasing process, as the website gives plenty of technical details with a good selection of photographs of their gear being worn. This has meant that comparing what you think you are ordering and what it looks like when is arrives are the same!.
I have built up a whole hill climbing set up, with trousers, base layers, mid layer and waterproof outer layer. The only thing missing is a Jottnar hat!
The base and mid layers will be worn later in the winter when dog walking or visiting the local coastline as it can get blowy and cold, but I will need to reserve a full review until after the gear has been tested in the wilds of Scotland. Roll on Sept 2021!
I the meantime it would be great if Jottnar sent me a hat to complete my outfit a thank you for investing in so much expensive (and unused) gear :)

Great bit of kit

As it packs down so small and weighs next to nothing, it's permanently in my pack. Worn on Cairngorm summits during summer to keep the chill out when the weather didn't warrant a "proper" jacket. Also been great on overnighters when worn over a lightweight insulated jacket.
