Tech includes: a RECCO® Rescue System diode and antenna-based passive transponder for improved safety; large, harness compatible chest pockets; two-way pit zips for temperature control; helmet compatible hood for excellent visibility and free head movement; inner valuables/smartphone pocket; forearm lift pass pocket; large inner dump pocket to stash gloves or keep ski skins warm; Cohaesive™ hem adjusters for easy on-the-move setting; and Jöttnar's signature anti-snag hem cords to avoid gear tangling.

So… I’m more of a dog walker & occasional hill/fell/mountain walker.
This is a super jacket. Thoroughly waterproof. Fits true to size; layers well and drys out quickly too.
I would also like hand pockets … and am waiting for their technical glove range to land ,if they are not going to do hand pockets 😈
This brand are my goto - I must admit I wait until they have offers/sales but the design touches & performance are for me way better than ThruDamp or DeadBird…. You get what you pay for.
Could benefit from having hand pockets too. Apart from that - a well built and produced jacket.
I took advantage of the recent sale to add an ODIN to my quiver. My Bergelmir is a much-loved winter climbing shell. But the lack of pit zips have always been something I've missed for mountain days. Add a glove stash pocket and a lift pass pocket and the ODIN fits the bill. Usual outstanding attention to detail and build quality. This company knows who they are designing for and what we need. Highly recommended.
I wore a medium Jottnar Odin on a mountaineering training trip to the Alps last week. Despite repeatedly dragging myself up across sharp rock, bouncing during abseils, falling on ice and sliding on my backside on wet, muddy grass: the jacket still looks new and protected me fully. The pit zips kept me cool. I was overheating with only an Erling baselayer and the Odin fully zippered whilst crossing a glacier to the Aiguille d'Entreves; but once I opened the Odin's pit zips I cooled right down, but was still protected from the cold. I also managed to stay comfortable even though there was a 20 degree difference between the sunny side and the shaded side of the ridge (pic).
This jacket is a marvel which also kept my passport and tickets completely dry during a rainstorm in Chamonix.
