Community Growth Manager

Working within the marketing team and reporting to the Creative Brand and Ecommerce leads, you will plan, deliver and manage new community growth through campaigns, events, and engaging social media content. You are responsible for growing an engaged and passionate Jöttnar outdoor community through content, voice, and strategy.
Key Duties:

Cultivate a vibrant and active Jöttnar community.

Inspire and bring a love for mountain sports and the outdoors to a wider audience through visibility, participation and hands-on experiences, anchoring our brand at the heart.

Maintain an active presence across our audience channels, always delivering our tone of voice and brand values.

Compile community sentiment analysis and feedback for leadership and ongoing strategy.

Develop, launch and manage new co-labs to engage the community through events and similar experience initiatives. Form key relationships with relevant influencers/athletes to increase reach and experiences of our community.

Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions, building a culture of UGC, showcasing genuine interactions with our products.

Empower the most engaged community members to enable them to manage their own sub-groups on various social media platforms if desired.

Manage budgets for community growth and experience activities. Create a roadmap with clear KPIs to increase brand awareness and event attendance online and offline.

Contribute to the design and delivery of creative and engaging social media strategies alongside the marketing team, optimising content to encourage community interaction and engagement.

Undertake audience research and competitor analysis, identifying consumer trends and the opportunities for large-scale brand visibility.

Work closely with the Creative Brand lead to compile and adapt all community content to suit different channels and audiences, generating, editing and sharing engaging content.

Alongside the Ecommerce team, monitor, track, analyse and report on performance of social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights (or preferred third-party software).
Role Requirements:

4+ years proven and demonstratable experience of success in a similar role, agency or client side, with hands on experience growing an active and passionate outdoor community.

Experience planning and managing events and activities to engage and grow the community.

A love for, and active engagement in outdoor mountain sports is essential.

Extensive understanding and experience of community building, trends, algorithms and best practices through social media platforms.

You will be fluent, persuasive and articulate with excellent communication skills.

Well organised, resilient, and self-motivated, with strong copywriting skills.

Experience capturing on-the-ground, engaging video content and managing community UGC for use on a variety of social channels.

Ability to set and hit deadlines and budgets following a pre-determined roadmap.

Familiarity with digital photo editing tools, such as Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom is a plus.

A growth mindset with a positive attitude and strong ability to work as part of a team. You are proactive, enquiring, and energetic.

Annual salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE.

Normal office hours are Mon-Fri 9-5 but due to the nature of role, there will be flexibility required in your hours and location of work to align with the social/community engagement initiatives.

Our Cardiff office is your formal place of work and is 10 mins from the city centre. There is climbing, world class mountain biking, white water rafting, beaches and surfing a short distance from our office. The Brecon Beacons is 40 mins away. Bristol airport is within a 30 min drive. Cardiff is the cultural, educational and international-sports capital of Wales.
